The Beverly Hills Playhouse Acting School has for over thirty years offered ongoing intensive scene-study acting classes for both the professional actor and those who are looking to develop themselves into professional actors. The BHP is well known for Milton Katselas' unique approach, which addresses Acting, Attitude, and Administration.
BHP Approach
The uniqueness and universality of Katselas' teaching comes from this three-pronged attack, which not only addresses the craft of acting, but also the proper attitude with which the actor should pursue his or her work, as well as the proper viewpoint towards career administration.
Acting Classes
The main focus of the Beverly Hills Playhouse Acting School is on-going scene study acting class. These meet twice per week with an emphasis on scene work and the occasional exercise. In addition to these acting classes, we offer Audition Classes exclusively to our students, as well as classes for Young Actors (ages 7-18).
Administration Groups
What are you doing to get your career moving right now? Do you need an agent? Is there a particular director you want to work with? How are your headshots? The Admin Groups at the BHP deal with these and other issues regarding your career and the business. The actors in each group help each other and hold each other accountable. The process results in confident, working actors.

BHP Teachers
The teachers at the Beverly Hills Playhouse Acting School have several qualities in common: they were all hand-picked by founder Milton Katselas to teach the unique BHP approach, they have studied (and continue to do so) at the BHP between 10 and 30 years, and they are all currently working professionals in the industry as actors, directors, producers and/or writers.
BHP Alumni
The quality of actors, directors, writers and producers who have studied in the acting classes at the Beverly Hills Playhouse is second to none. They took what they learned about acting, story-telling, and professionalism and have been successful at applying it in the entertainment industry. A partial list of alumni includes: George Clooney, Michelle Pfeiffer, Alec Baldwin, Jorge Garcia, Giovanni Ribisi, and Kate Hudson.
