Acting Schools for Kids - Drama Classes

BHP_A128wThe Beverly Hills Playhouse acting school offers Young Actor and Teen Acting Classes for actors ages 7-17! Taught by Emmy Award Winner Melissa Hayden, the acting for kids classes incorporate scene study, exercises, as well as information forums for both parents and young actors.

Acting class for Kids and Teens - Drama Classes

We have year round classes on Saturday afternoons from 1pm-4pm (ages 7-17), and teens only class on Tuesday evenings 5-8pm (ages 13-17).  For the year round classes, the first class is free. 

This summer we are having two one-week intensive sessions in July that run 10am-2pm M-F.  The first session is July 9-13, and the second is July 23-27.

Class instructor Melissa Hayden is a professional actress who began as a working child actor. She was directed in the movie "Annie" by John Huston, did many other films, plays and TV shows. She has received an Emmy Award, Youth in Film Award, and Soap Opera Digest Award, and she studied with Milton Katselas for over a decade. Melissa was an on-set acting coach on Guiding Light for five years.

In addition she worked in a pre-school for three years, and has taught art, music, and performance to special needs children around Los Angeles for many years.
