Max and Nora met under strange circumstances. They have been seeing each other for a little while now and there are strong feelings there, which scare both of them, for different reasons. Now Nora’s electricity has been cut off, and she’s sitting in the dark, fuming, not about the electricity, but about the fact that Max went to his friend’s wedding without her; in fact, without telling her. Max now shows up at her house after the wedding.
